WomenWomen face greater vulnerabilityVulnerability than men during climate crisesCrisis. Yet, their issues are inadequately addressed, limiting effective solutions for the harm they endure after displacementDisplacement due to the negative impacts of climate changeClimate change. Besides, the intersection of climate changeClimate change vulnerabilityVulnerability and existing gender inequalitiesGender inequalities undermines the principles of climate justice and the norms of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGsSustainable Development Goals (SDG)), particularly the commitment to leave ‘no one behind’. This chapter focuses on the unique vulnerabilitiesVulnerability of climate-induced internally displaced womenWomen. It identifies gaps in different terminology to define these groups of womenWomen that hinder their legalLegal protectionProtection. The study finds that most of the time, the displacementDisplacement issues are merged with the discussions of climate migrants and refugeesRefugees in the name of environmental refugeesRefugees and environmental migrants. Using various terminologies creates a vacuum in the extant literature and makes it difficult to take effective legalLegal measures. This increases the existing vulnerabilitiesVulnerability and keeps them unaddressed. This confusion also reduces the chances of accessing climate justice and achieving SDGsSustainable Development Goals (SDG). Thus, the paper calls for addressing their vulnerabilityVulnerability in all phases of climate displacementDisplacement by using proper terminology, initiating effective legalLegal protectionProtection and monitoring the Climate-Induced Internally Displaced WomenWomen situation. These are essential to ensure the legalLegal protectionProtection of Climate-Induced Internally Displaced WomenWomen and ensure achieving climate justice as well as the related SDGsSustainable Development Goals (SDG).
