Financial Policies to Ensure the Operation of Grassroot Medical Network in Vietnam
摘要
The grassroots medical network plays a critical role as a frontline “link” in preventing and controlling the spread of epidemics. However, the current financial policies supporting this network exhibit significant limitations, failing to meet operational requirements adequately. These shortcomings underscore the urgent need to prioritize and allocate financial resources to strengthen the operational capacity of this essential “gatekeeper” in the healthcare system. This article examines the current financial policies governing state budget allocations for Vietnam’s Grassroots Medical Network, drawing on the experiences of various countries. Based on the findings, it proposes targeted measures to refine these policies, ensuring the network can effectively fulfill its primary healthcare mandate and meet the population’s healthcare needs.
