Exotic plant species profoundly impact ecosystems, often displacing native vegetation and disrupting ecological balance. This study investigates their effects within the Sursuti Medicinal Plant Conservation Area (MPCA), located in the core region of Gorumara National Park, India. Through field surveys and phytosociological analyses, we assessed the exotic flora's composition, distribution, and ecological significance. Asteraceae and Solanaceae are predominant among herbs and shrubs from diverse tropical Americas, Africa, and Madagascar. Phytosociological studies highlight the ecological dominance of certain species, while diversity indices suggest potential impacts on native biodiversity. Indicator value analysis identifies vital species associated with different seasons, offering insights into their ecological roles. Exotic species pose challenges in habitat alteration. Effective management measures, including invasive species control and habitat restoration, are crucial for preserving the ecological integrity of the MPCA. This study contributes to biodiversity conservation efforts and underscores the importance of addressing exotic plant pressure in protected areas.

摘要
