The technology is powerful enough to be used in exceptionally modern implementations, including software development, designing, manufacturing, future support, collaborative work, staff training, and many more. Its use in the automotive industry is focused on improving the user experience and safety while driving, mainly by using object tracking, divided into marker-based and marker-less-based tracking. In architecture, engineering, and construction, AR becomes an important tool when working with stakeholders, staff training, management of places, tracking multiple operations, providing real-time information, etc. Although many advantages are introduced, the technology has significant disadvantages, including the need for improvements in human–machine interactions as well as in object tracking, the need for more comparative analysis, etc.
