Generations BB, X, Y, and Z in a Different Context

There is a debate in literature whether the concept of generations is useful and whether the generational differences exist. In addition, methodologies applied to define the differences are contested. The present article discusses the generations in Bulgarian context defining them by (conditional) age boundaries. It uses results from national representative studies (thus including all generations over the age of 15), and focuses on generational distinct traits. It is possible through the application of an affinity index that shows the deviation from the average of the whole universe studied, thus explicating typical and differentiating traits. A part of the research findings is presented to support the understanding that the generational differences exist and that methodologies need to be further fine-tuned.
