It discusses scenarios where direct feedback linearization is undesirable, emphasizing the need to retain nonlinear properties in certain applications such as nonlinear oscillators. The chapter analyzes a linear high-gain controller, demonstrating its effectiveness in handling specific forms of nonlinear networked systems despite its linear structure. It then introduces a nonlinear controller designed to address more general nonlinearities and system architectures. Additionally, fixed-time convergence strategies are explored to ensure rapid synchronization.
