Future Directions for Global Englishes and Langauge Policy
摘要
As English solidifies its role as a global lingua franca, the landscape of GE presents both unprecedented opportunities and challenges. In this book, we examined the transformative potential of the GE framework in reimagining policies and pedagogies to reflect the diversity and adaptability of English in its global contexts (Galloway & Rose, 2018; Jenkins, 2015). Moving beyond traditional native-speaker norms, GE emphasizes linguistic inclusivity, intercultural communication, and practical adaptability for alignment with the realities of twenty-first-century English use (Matsuda, 2017; Seidlhofer, 2013).
