The 4M framework – comprising mega, macro, meso, and micro organizational levels - serves as this chapter’s foundation and lens for an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental examination of the holistic approach to academic integrity within the Assiniboine College School of Nursing in Manitoba, Canada. The authors delve into each level, shedding light on their significance in fostering ethical congruence, enhancing college administration, and upholding professional standards. First, the college-run nursing program is examined at the mega level to identify features in the professional ethics of the sector and accrediting bodies. The focus then narrows to the institutional macro level, where the authors emphasize the importance of policy and procedure, which involves all stakeholders. Moving down the framework to the meso level, the authors explore the impact of interdepartmental collaboration in nurturing academic integrity, as well as examining the impacts of technology on teaching practices. Finally, at the micro level, the authors highlight the crucial role of individual faculty members, students, and staff in promoting academic integrity, with particular attention paid to challenges faced by nursing instructors. By instilling a sense of ethical responsibility and modelling integrity in daily actions, the authors illustrate how concerted and collaborative efforts can foster a culture of academic integrity. This example provides a model for how the 4M framework can be used in vocational training programs to develop a comprehensive approach to academic integrity that extends beyond the institution and into industry.

摘要
