Insect farming has gained recognition as a sustainable and practical alternative to conventional livestock farming, providing notable environmental advantages amid challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity, and increasing food demand. This chapter examines the ecological benefits of insect farming, including its ability to lower greenhouse gas emissions, minimize land and water consumption, and improve feed conversion efficiency. By analyzing both the environmental impact and scalability of insect farming, the research underscores its potential to lessen the ecological burden of food production. Case studies from regions such as Thailand and Europe demonstrate how insect farming is being implemented to manage agricultural waste, preserve biodiversity, and support sustainable food systems.
