Body Matters
摘要
AI and its effects on various perceptions of the human body are both omnipresent and almost never under scrutiny. This chapter’s argument is twofold: It will first propose an incursion into the various instances of conceiving of the human body as the driver of AI development. Second, it will look at how the human body itself and its perception are modified as a consequence of the generalization of AI use. The chapter will conclude by analyzing how the disintegration of physical bodies in measurable parameters and their reintegration in the data cloud affects both our understanding of the self and the perception of the physical world at large, speaking volumes about our relationship with the environment.
