The threats of terrorism Uganda have experienced act of terrorism of varying dimensions perpetrated at various intervals by the Allied Democratic Front, the Lords’ Resistance Army, and the Al Shabab including other smaller terrorist groups acting from within and beyond the country’s national territory. Uganda’s domestic political trajectories, including alleged human rights violations, precarious intractable conflicts arising from its geostrategic location, and its commitment to regional peace and security in East Africa and the Horn, have contributed to terrorist assaults on the Ugandan state. The Government of Uganda, therefore, embarks on robust counterterrorism measures at national level involving the citizens and all elements of national power, while also leveraging on bilateral and multilateral engagements through tactful diplomatic negotiations, joint task forces, and advanced technologies in combating terrorism.

摘要
