Contexts and Characteristics
摘要
In Chap. 2 , context was described as the whole situation that surrounds and informs a choice or action, and there are different kinds of contexts, including those that are social, cultural, environmental, cognitive, and bodily. In this chapter, we first describe frameworks for appreciating and sensing contexts affecting HRM practice; second, we introduce the concept of mindset for perceiving and understanding different kinds of contexts; and third, we present methodologies and tools for gathering information and determining the kind of context HR professionals are experiencing and, therefore, the kind of problem they are called upon to address.
