In Bulgaria, there is no practice of using and appointing industrial/organizational psychologists in the management of troubled economic entities by creditor banks. The industrial psychologist would play an important role in optimizing the work of the economic entity, managing human resources and improving the working environment, which would have an immediate and long-term effect on the sustainability and success of the enterprise. In order to save small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, which are the backbone of our economy, banks must commit to using industrial psychologists in bankruptcy proceedings and in enforcement under the Special Lien Act. If creditor banks take advantage of the knowledge of industrial psychologists by appointing them to the management of small and medium-sized enterprises with problematic loans, they will be able to save both their money and their economic activity.
