The optimization studies will pave the way for the development of new strategies for saving energy and using it more efficiently. The governments of developed and developing nations an increased emphasis on clean energy technologies such as heat pumps that use renewable energy sources to minimize external energy dependence, boost energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and promote the development of clean energy technologies. The heat pump is not only utilized in the industrial sector but may also be used in residential structures to eliminate the need for heating, cooling, and hot water for household usage. However, heat pumps have a technological framework that is influenced by environmental factors. The literature specifically discusses the performance of air-source heat pumps, which are the type of heat pump most affected by changes in outer environment parameters. This study aims to enlighten readers about heat pumps and optimization while elucidating the process of optimizing heat pump performance through a hands-on investigation. It is, therefore, intended to assist individuals who manufacture and design heat pumps and their constituent parts.
