In this chapter, we present a brief history of the Brazilian Elections, the creation of the Brazilian voting machine, the Urna Eletrônica, and the recent events and attacks on its integrity. We finish by shortly mentioning the current proposal to our Electoral Authority, the Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE): the creation of an End-to-End verifiable voting system that is incremental to the currently used system.

In this chapter, we present a brief history of the Brazilian Elections, the creation of the Brazilian voting machine, the Urna Eletrônica, and the recent events and attacks on its integrity.
