The Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation (BCII) is a world-first, transdisciplinary, multi-award-winning combined degree. Radical in its ambition, it combines students from 26 degrees across the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in a future-oriented, industry-engaged curriculum that encompasses high-level critical and creative thinking, invention, complexity, innovation, future scenario building and entrepreneurship. Educational partnerships and collaborations are central to the BCII, with more than 900 partners from industry, community and government organizations who actively seek opportunities to work with our students. This pioneering degree promotes student creativity through a game-changing transdisciplinary curriculum, grounded in active learning and problem-solving, delivered in dynamic, studio-based environments where students work in multi-disciplinary teams to address complex challenges across diverse sectors, fields and professions. The BCII integrates many innovative creative methods from across the disciplines to explore transdisciplinary creativity, going beyond Design Thinking and design-led innovation approaches now common in universities. Instead, it engages in innovation from multiple disciplinary perspectives, and in collaboration with non-academic stakeholders.
