Saybrook University initiated creativity studies rooted in the tenets of humanistic psychology around 1999. It featured luminary faculty, including Steve Pritzker and Ruth Richards; their contributions, in tandem with existential and transpersonal ideologies, set the stage for the unique trajectory the program enjoys today. In this chapter, the coalesced voices of faculty and students illuminate a path to graduate success. We foster and implement skills bridging humanistic principles with Creativity, Innovation, and Leadership theories, enabling our graduates to flourish. The program's evolution encompasses course development, curricula, and creative initiatives that merge theoretical and practical applications. The essence of Creativity supports community and individual engagement bringing joyful possibilities to all. We encourage the exploration of critical and relevant phenomena across myriad traditional and emerging research paradigms, including Arts-Based Inquiry. Connections between students, faculty, and administration foster a dialogue bridging academic structures, resulting in successful specializations, graduate programs, and a thriving university.
