The Collaborative Creativity for Social Innovation graduate program in education engages students in real-world creativity practice to increase the creativity capacity of individuals and organizational cultures to deal with increasingly complex problems across diverse educational, professional, and social/cultural environments. Students engage in experiential, collaborative creativity with focus ranging from the United Nations Sustainable Global Goals to community and professional workplace contexts across disciplines. This is supported with continual action and literature-based research in the fields of creativity, collaboration, social innovation, human-centred and strategic design. Students learn to leverage collaborative creativity to achieve social and educational innovation outcomes on their way to becoming positive agents of change. This graduate program has run for twelve years through four different iterations focused on creativity development, and collaborative creativity. This project-based, seamless, four-course program is part of an interdisciplinary master’s degree in education making up one third of degree course requirements and offered as one of several program choices to constitute this graduate degree.
