Formalizing Persian Verbs Conjugation
摘要
This study presents a formalized description of the Persian language, commonly known as Persian or Farsi, leveraging the NooJ platform. The analysis encompasses various linguistic aspects such as vocabulary, spelling, inflectional, derivational, agglutinative morphology, local and constituent syntax, and transformational grammar. The endeavor underscores the necessity for a robust foundation in Persian linguistics, especially considering the absence of formalization for the French-Persian pair despite previous efforts in formalizing French for multiple languages. With over 100 million speakers worldwide, the imperative to advance research in this domain is indisputable [2]. Specifically, this research delves into the linguistic and morphological examination of Persian verbs, employing the NooJ platform as its primary instrument. The project unfolds through several phases, starting with gathering and curating linguistic resources like French-Persian dictionaries and then evaluating morphological analyses applied to Persian corpora.
