Assistive Technologies as a Means to Enhance Education for Students with Hearing Impairments: An Analytical Study of Challenges and Opportunities
摘要
The focus of this research is to investigate how assistive technologies are utilized in educational settings to support students with hearing impairments. The study aims to understand the impact of these technologies on learning outcomes and engagement. Employing a qualitative research methodology with a descriptive-analytical approach, the study examines the effectiveness of assistive technologies, identifies barriers such as high costs and insufficient teacher training, and emphasizes the necessity for increased awareness and involvement from families. Insights gathered from educators, students, and families demonstrate that while assistive technologies greatly enhance educational experiences, practical challenges often restrict their full potential. These findings highlight the significance of improving support systems and resources to optimize the benefits of assistive technologies in promoting academic and social achievements for students with hearing impairments.
