Interim Check Process Digital Twin for an Articulated Arm Coordinate Measuring Machine
摘要
In the today’s manufacturing era, the digital metrology is developing dynamically. At production shop floor the point repeatably verification test of an Articulated Arm Coordinate Machine (AACMM) is evaluated by the interim check process. Single Point Articulation Test (SPAT) is an effective test as per ISO 10360-12, ASME B89.4 etc. Digital Twins (DT) are able to optimize AACMM’s results by integrating resources, measurement plans, and products (artifacts) and can give increased quality in AACMM’s results. Beyond the design efficiencies DT offers operational efficiency too. The various factors like sources for errors, uncertainty types and others those are contributing to SPAT errors are studied. In this paper a targeted review is made for integration possibilities of digital equivalent for physical interim check test artifact particularly trihedral nest which is used in tactile probing with DT. The correlation between the DT and digital thread is analysed for the enhancement in quality of interim test results. The new DT-based reliable quality metrology system for the interim check process of verification is realised. The output of this paper finds opportunities to integrate the Digital Artifact with DT and increased confidence of measurement results by AACMM. This DT system will be useful to build the confidence of measurement results taken nearby on calibration service due days.
