The Impact of Analogical Thinking in Teaching Social Studies Through Technology
摘要
This article examines how technology can be incorporated into the social studies curriculum to support analogical thinking and improve students’ thinking and abstract reasoning. Using a qualitative methodology and integrating a review of a rich literature, the article offers possible opportunities for analogical reasoning within the social studies curriculum through a narrative exploring the perspective of analogical reasoning from the perspective of educators and scientists. It delves into the cognitive processes involved in analogical reasoning and reveals how the use of technology can enrich social studies content and make learning meaningful and engaging. The findings demonstrate how analogical thinking can improve learning and thinking in classroom environments, which in turn helps teachers consider how to better teach social studies and improve learning outcomes.
