The Impact of Strategic Thinking on Crisis Management
摘要
The objective of the research is to examine the influence of strategic thinking on crisis management, focusing on the employees. The study encompasses two variables: an independent variable and a dependent variable. The independent variable, strategic thinking, was assessed through four dimensions: holistic thinking, abstract thinking, diagnostic thinking, and planning thinking. On the other hand, crisis management, the dependent variable, was evaluated based on three dimensions: the birth phase, the growth and maturity phase, and the disappearance phase. To measure these variables, a questionnaire consisting of 39 items was specifically designed. The target population for the study included 2034 employees across the bank's branches, including the headquarters. The questionnaire was distributed to a sample of the population, and a total of 340 valid responses were received, resulting in an 85% response rate. In order to analyze the data, the researchers employed the descriptive analytical method and utilized various statistical tests through the SPSS program. The study yielded several noteworthy findings, the most significant of which indicated a statistically significant impact of the dimensions of strategic thinking on enhancing the level of crisis management. Furthermore, a weak, positive correlation between the dimensions of the two variables was observed. When it comes to crisis management, strategic thinking played a role in 8.4% of the process, while diagnostic thinking proved to be the most influential factor. To improve crisis management, the study suggests developing a stronger ability for holistic thinking. This can be achieved by conducting a more comprehensive analysis of the external environment, allowing for a better grasp of potential challenges and opportunities.
