Leading Success is not only a methodology, it is a mindset for leaders to create success-ready organizations. For Leading Success, leadership of liberation is the mindset at the center of its value proposition. This chapter is dedicated to address what leadership of liberation means, how it is created, sustained, and how it works in practice. Why do we need leaders as liberators? We need leaders who are organizational liberators because every company or team, over time, becomes rigid and hostage to its own inertia. Liberation is necessary to produce breakthrough and set a new direction, and it is the most effective and enduring way to implement organizational transformation and sustain it—particularly in the post-pandemic world. The mental barriers most prevalent in organizations are classified in three main categories: Lack of Clarity: Remove anything that keeps people confused, unclear, and unfocused. Take actions to ensure everyone knows what is expected from them. Lack of Future: Get rid of the past as a guide for decisions and policies. Infuse a forward-looking approach that opens a fresh space for simplification and innovation. Lack of Confidence: Remove sources of risk intolerance and fear of failure. Creative action necessitates a fail-fast, entrepreneurial environment to flourish.
