This chapter explores how digital supergenres in the art world, namely, artist websites, art news websites, and art magazines, serve as dynamic platforms that incorporate traditional and evolving genres to connect artists with both specialized and broader audiences. Drawing on recent genre theory, this study analyses the communicative purposes, macro- and microstructures, and embedded genres that characterize these supergenres. The findings highlight how artist websites blend elements such as bios, statements, galleries, and résumés into cohesive formats that promote the artist’s practice, while art news and magazine sites combine informational genres, such as news articles and reviews, to engage art communities and the public. By examining over 100 unique texts from 10 artists’ websites and 10 art news and art magazine websites, this chapter illustrates how these supergenres adapt to the digital medium, evolving to meet both promotional and educational goals. In doing so, they not only support the expanding digital presence of the art world but also facilitate new forms of audience interaction, enriching contemporary art discourse.

摘要
