The purpose of this chapter is to map the make-up of the concept ‘Organisational Identity’, its essential Being. An enriched, deepened Genetic Code of the concept ‘Organisational Identity’ of the requisite complexity, morally grounded in content, will be offered. The chapter will cover inter alia, OI’s definition, key functions, and critical attributes, as well as its grounding in a Basic Human Needs Framework. Additionally, its constituent elements, expressions, and spatio-temporal embeddedness are discussed.
