Gender Differences in Consumer Behavior in the Context of the Dynamic E-commerce Development
摘要
Electronic commerce is rapidly gaining popularity, with an increasing number of consumers favoring this method of shopping. The objective of this paper was to examine gender differences in consumer behavior stemming from the dynamic growth of electronic commerce. Primary data was collected via an anonymous questionnaire survey. The findings revealed no significant difference between men and women regarding the frequency of online shopping. However, the analysis indicated statistically significant gender differ-ences in the increase in online shopping frequency during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results obtained have expanded the theoretical framework regarding electronic commerce and consumer behavior. Additionally, these findings can provide practical benefits to e-commerce businesses in planning their marketing and sales strategies.
