Student thinking is often hidden in the minds of our learners as an invisible process, but through well-crafted learning experiences and assessments student thinking can be demonstrated through outputs. This article explores how to design rubrics that focus on student thinking, provide a roadmap for success to learners, and allow for evaluation of learning outcomes. Strategies to deeply analyze student work samples will be provided.
