This chapter semiotically analyses the use of the body and the resort to the materiality of the young protesters against climate change, specifically Greta Thunberg and the Fridays for Future demonstrators. The study also confronts the semiotics of the body of these protesters to the digital immateriality put forward by virtual reality and the supposed metaverse theorized by Facebook’s co-founder and chairman Mark Zuckerberg, which in the last few years has frequently been pointed out as key to the future of politics and of the human relationships in general.
