Salutogenesis provides an approach to learning that informs what to learn as well as what constitutes healthy learning processes. Healthy learning is a process where people and systems increase the control over, and improve health, wellbeing and quality of life. An enabling environment is a well-known prerequisite for healthy learning. Salutogenic learning processes refer to meaningful experiences on individual and collective level and reflection that support SOC. Four guiding principles for shaping salutogenic learning processes are explained. Next, examples of salutogenesis-oriented learning within different settings are described. This chapter closes by redefining salutogenesis-oriented learning and what this means for the role of the facilitator.
