Salutogenesis in the Context of Health Care
摘要
This chapter focuses on how to apply salutogenesis in practice in the context of health care, especially when designing interventions. The foundation for implementation is to understand and apply the core principles of salutogenesis and health promotion, hereby building capacity and strength in all involved, i.e.: the patients, participants, health professionals and relatives. The key salutogenic guiding principles are presented. Health and well-being are here seen as learning processes, where SOC can be learned and strengthened through interventions. A selection of different types of interventions are presented serving as examples of practical application and showing diversity instead of a total overview. The health-promoting dialogue is one of the key mechanisms for maintaining health and for managing stress. This is visualized through the Collegial Model, here adapted in the context of health care.
