Exploring a Decade of Educational Transformation with Metaverse for a Sustainable Future: A Review
摘要
This study thoroughly examines academic literature to investigate the educational transformation with Metaverse for a Sustainable Future. In the present analysis, bibliometric methods are used with 145 articles spanning from 2014 to 2023 and published in high impact journals to analyze the pattern, intellectual and conceptual structure among the articles. The study identifies the top authors, leading journals, and major themes. This is followed by an in-depth bibliographic-network-based content analysis. In addition, four major clusters which represent the central research dimensions of the discipline in question were discussed extensively. The experiences of Generation Z, the development of virtual human resources, the overall effects on education, and the psychological elements of virtual learning environments are all covered by thematic clusters. The study pointed out some pertinent issues which are under-researched at the moment that can be attended to in the days to come. The study also identifies key research gaps, providing direction for future research. The literatures were restricted to the fields of commerce, management, tourism, services, marketing, economics, applied economics, econometrics, human resources, and industrial relations. Future studies could expand to encompass a broader perspective. This research also sheds light on the evolving story of the metaverse in the context of education.
