During the last decades, the treatment of fractures in children and adolescents has become increasingly invasive and the variety of osteosynthesis materials that we have on the market have led the pediatric traumatologist, especially the youngest ones, to intervene and apply surgical treatments of pediatric fractures more frequently, unlike what happened half a century ago, when the majority of fractures in patients under 18 years old were resolved orthopedically. It is important to clarify that, in some types of fractures, the results obtained in the middle of the last century were not entirely good, but thanks to advances in osteosynthesis methods, mainly in the forearm, elbow, and femur, the results have improved substantially in terms of consolidation, in addition to patient return to their activities much more quickly.

摘要
