摘要
They have particularities regarding their management, prognosis, associated injuries, and even possible medical-legal repercussions in children exposed to non-accidental trauma. For their treatment, a good prognosis is recognized with conservative treatment, but also that residual deformities of the axes are poorly tolerated over time. The therapeutic options range from cast immobilization to surgical reduction and stabilization. The choice of treatment should be based on objective criteria that allow obtaining the best results, with the least therapeutic impact on the child and his family.
