Supracondylar humerus fractures are the most common fractures around the elbow in patients under 7 years old. The most frequent mechanism of injury is a fall on the outstretched hand, with the elbow hyperextended. It requires, in a high number of cases, surgical treatment, usually through closed reduction and percutaneous fixation with Kirschner wires, given the limited potential for remodeling of residual deformities resulting without treatment. It is important to recognize the different fracture patterns, both by their mechanism and by the radiological findings, as this allows adequate management, reducing associated complications.
