For the successful installation of collaborative robots at workplaces, it is important to consider human safety as well as task fulfilment. This excerpt from a risk assessment demonstrates how current research results can be used for risk evaluation. As an example, measurements were carried out with five measuring devices on three robot models including various payloads. The results are compared and evaluated in relation to recent thresholds. The focus is on hazards in the hand and arm region. Results are considered here in logarithmic form to discussed what is needed in standardization to achieve improvements for users.
