Biotechnology products are very variable, and their diversity only increases with science and technological innovation development. This section deals with environmental biotechnology products, meaning biotechnologies for waste treatment and purification of environmental components. Since they aim to reduce the negative anthropogenic impact on the ecosystem. Their products also serve this purpose, including the biomass of microorganisms, which can be utilized in an environmentally safe way; biofuel as an alternative to traditional fuel, the use of carbon dioxide to reduce its emission into the atmosphere; the introduction of biofertilizers in agriculture to reduce its environmental impact. Most importantly, treated wastewater can be reused, waste can be disinfected and detoxified, and soil remediated. All these are ultimately products of biotechnology of ecological orientation.
