Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a transformational force in governance, with the potential to completely change policymaking and decision-making in a world that is becoming more interconnected and complicated. The idea of AI acting as an independent decision-maker in governance systems is examined in this chapter, along with how it might improve efficiency, streamline governmental procedures, and guarantee more inclusive and transparent policy decisions. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and multi-agent systems, are being incorporated into public decision-making processes to automate important parts of policy study, assessment, and execution. This chapter's main focus is assessing the changing role of AI in governance, outlining the benefits and drawbacks of its implementation. The study also looks at practical uses, such as AI-powered governance models for resource distribution, urban planning, and disaster relief. Case examples, experimental findings, and mathematical formulations are used to illustrate the useful applications of AI in governance. Through in-depth investigation, they reveal how AI can address the ethical and societal issues that arise while facilitating quicker, better-informed decisions, reducing biases, and streamlining administrative procedures. Lastly, they discuss how developments in AI and related technologies may influence the political landscape and governance in the future as they look ahead to the role of AI in governance.

摘要
