Artificial Intelligence for Green Innovation in Digital Lean Production
摘要
Digital lean manufacturing and green management integrated with the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) is effective in improving sustainability, effectiveness, and capacity to adapt to challenges in industries but comes with some challenges. Information comes from various sources in organizations, making the use of the information challenging but AI through its learning algorithms can unlock value. There are, however, high implementation costs that act as a hindrance, yet implementation of pilot projects can lower the cost and ease expansion. Few of the challenges that have been discussed include a lack of skilled professionals to operate AI systems, which can be managed by the training programmers and through the use of AI in adaptive learning for training the faculty. Employees and managers anxieties can be reduced through the participation of employees in change activities, the promotion of developmental activities, and AI training that helps to perceive new arrangements for work. Many a time sustainability and cost efficiency may appear to be incompatible but with the help of AI the former can reduce the energy consumption while increasing the latter. Threats arising from digitization can be reduced as follows by the use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. AI also helps expand the transparency and traceability of networked, green, lean supply chains. When such challenges are met the industries can thus enhance sustainable, efficient, and stable development. As this chapter shows, it is crucial to incorporate digital lean manufacturing incorporated with AI since it brings efficiency all round and sustainability. AI solutions can also overcome these hurdles and bring in better efficiency, sustainability, and protection to the industry. The sophistication and solidity of industries and manufacturing can go hand in hand to create a way for the new generations of environmentally friendly, efficient production facilities to support that AI is fundamental in the future of industries.
