To investigate different approaches to handling and developing historical industrial buildings between Germany and the United Kingdom, qualitative research using semi-structured interviews based on a questionnaire with six categories was conducted. To examine possible differences, experts in both countries who are involved in the development of historic industrial buildings were interviewed to obtain reliable statements with insights into professional practice for both nations.
