Projects can enhance the understanding of complex phenomena. The Reach-out project was introduced into an undergraduate class to enable students to gain an understanding of their own as well as their peers’ ethnic practices and norms. Students had to engage in the ethnic practices of their peers. These activities not only led to decolonizing the Diversity Management curriculum but also allowed students to interrogate their beliefs about ethnic beliefs that did not resonate with their ethnic norms. Students found the Reach-out project enlightening and suggested that it be rolled out to students across all disciplines.
