While many organizations already offer diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs (e.g., a training session on implicit bias), they are often designed as a “one-off” and focus on individual behaviors. This chapter outlines a systems-based approach for implementing DEI programs. Through a systems-based approach, leaders and practitioners can assess their organizations and build programs that are data-informed, reflective of their unique needs, and crafted to address structural and cultural factors that shape organizational dynamics. By engaging stakeholders in a methodical process, organizations can ground their programs in a strategic plan to sustain and measure the progress of their efforts. This approach promises more meaningful and enduring outcomes, ultimately weaving DEI into the fabric of the organization.

摘要
