The transition to sustainable energy sources is crucial for combating climate change and promoting environmental protection. One of the main challenges of this transition lies in the need for sufficient financial support to deploy solar parks, particularly in developing countries. Crowdfunding has the potential to address this issue, but it requires a high level of security to attract investors from all over the world. While Blockchain and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) have emerged as transformative technologies capable of reshaping principles of investments, this paper explores ways to make investments with capital of all sizes in renewable energy accessible to anyone and secured by NFTs. We propose therefore a decentralized investment platform for solar panels. To ensure the transferability of ownership between investors in a secure and transparent manner, we propose the acquisition of NFT tokens backed by physical solar panels, with key information about each solar panel maintained in an immutable Blockchain ledger. Therefore, we demonstrate that NFT can democratize investments in renewable energies, empower stakeholders, and accelerate the transition to a cleaner, greener future.
