Applying Adaptive Learning Techniques for Studying of Installation Process an Operating System on a Personal Computer

General computerization has already reached a level at which any professional PC user, not even a programmer, should be able to install an operating systems (OS) on his computer that meets his needs and wishes. The wide spread Windows OS, although it provides the largest selection of software, is quite expensive and overloaded with packages of mandatory utility programs that are unnecessary for the user. Linux-based OSs do not have these disadvantages, since they are completely free and allow you to install only the programs that the user needs. However, the wide use of OSes based on the Linux kernel is limited by user ignorance in this area and concerns about the complexity of the installation process of this OS. At the same time, recently in pedagogy much attention has been paid to research into methods for accelerating the learning process, due to the constant increase in the amount of information that a student must learn. The most popular technology for increasing the intensity of learning is the adaptation of complex educational material for study by students with different levels of training. Such a labor-intensive task for a teacher requires the use of several already known adaptive teaching methods, depending on the teaching conditions and the complexity of the educational material. This paper discusses the features of using adaptive learning techniques to increase the accessibility and improve the perception of such complex educational material as the sequence of operations and commands for installing an OS based on the Linux kernel.
