Upper extremity burns may present as a part of a life-threatening trauma. This may sometimes delay the comprehensive treatment of extremity burn. The basic principles of diagnosis and treatment should be individualized. The etiology of burn trauma may cause compression of the sophisticated structures in upper extremity due to circular full-thickness burns or electrical burns. Prompt diagnosis and management is extremity saving. Reconstruction techniques are mainly based on wound healing principles. Surgery and transfer of tissues are predicated on the anatomy of the specific region of extremity and the depth of injury.
