The upper extremity has an aesthetic, motor, and sensory function in human life. Upper extremity amputations are life-changing devastating injuries. After microsurgical advancements, amputations of all pediatric upper extremity levels can be replanted to regain maximum functionality and aesthetic results. Preoperative preparation, long operative procedures, and postoperative care have special features for all levels. Patient stabilization, selection, and information are basic components of the preoperative period. The long operative procedure has a multi-structural repair to obtain revascularization of the upper extremity. Postoperative care includes acute postoperative limb and multi-organ care, chronic physical therapy, rehabilitation, and psychosocial care. Successful replantation supports the pediatric patient’s self-satisfaction and body image.
