This chapter considers other neoplasia related to asbestos exposure aside from mesothelioma and lung cancer. This chapter is organized by organ location and begins with a report on digestive tract cancers and recounts historical background, literature concerning animal studies and epidemiologic considerations. Following this, neoplasia related to other organ systems is likewise summarized to include intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, pancreatic cancer, laryngeal/pharyngeal cancer, renal cell carcinoma, lymphoma/leukemia, and cancers of the female reproductive system. Prominent and recent literature is discussed, and the consequence of asbestos exposure is summarized in each section. This chapter introduces the reader to other neoplasia that have been suggested to perhaps be associated with asbestos exposure and the literature supporting or at odds with these assertions.
