The educational setting is carefully examined to gather all the essential information required for designing an effective digital learning environment (see Fig. 4.1). Identifying training needs ensures alignment with learners’ characteristics and requirements, preventing designs that might overlook critical needs. Resource assessment is equally crucial; even if a learning solution is well suited to the context, factors such as scheduling (e.g., lesson frequency and duration) or infrastructure (e.g., room setup and ICT resources) could present challenges to implementation. Based on insights from the context analysis, the intended learning outcomes are then defined.
