Scientometric and Bibliometric Analysis in Circular Economy Indicators in the Context of PaaS
摘要
The circular economy is gaining attention as a response to limited natural resources and environmental challenges. In PaaS/PSS (Product-as-a-Service/Performance-based Service Systems), circularity is crucial for reducing resource consumption and waste. Unlike the traditional model that emphasizes single-use products, PaaS/PSS focuses on value retention by designing, manufacturing, and managing products to extend their lifespan. This involves integrating servicing, repair, refurbishment, and remanufacturing into the product lifecycle. The paper presents a bibliometric analysis of circularity indicators in PaaS, using 384 articles from the Scopus database (1993–2022), narrowed down to 32 for a full analysis. The study examines publication frequency, authorship, citations, thematic categorization, and geographic distribution, using VOSviewer for mapping and network analysis. The findings identify key circularity indicators, prominent authors, and commonly used methods in the field. This analysis serves as a foundation for future research and provides actionable insights for companies aiming to implement circular economy principles in innovative PaaS/PSS models.
