Using the Eidaad Internship Program as a template, gives us a window towards understanding the role of sustainable development of academia and industry and the role of a well-structured program that calls for collaboration between industry and academia. Moreover, the Eidaad Program is aligned with Oman’s Vision 2040. It is a win–win situation. Students can gain career clarity, critical skills for employment, and exposure to industry standards through internships. Oman’s national workforce development is the fountainhead for addressing employability of graduates from our Omani educational institutions.
